Physical and chemical properties: Appearance:white powder; Melting point 220-202°C;
Uses: Cefoperazone is the third-generation cephalosporin. It is effective against Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella typhi, Shigella, Citrobacter and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The spore bacteria have good antibacterial effects, but have poor effects on Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter cloacae, Typhimurium and Acinetobacter. Influenza bacterium, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis are highly sensitive to this product. This product also has a good effect on various groups of streptococcus and pneumococcus, and only has a moderate effect on staphylococci (methicillin-sensitive strains), and is resistant to enterococci. Cefoperazone has a good effect on most gram-positive anaerobes and some gram-negative anaerobes. Bacteroides fragilis is resistant to this product. Cefoperazone has poor stability to most β-lactamases. This product mainly inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.
